Being the celebrity child always has its advantages and rewards. You get to go to the best schools, you always have money and you’re famous from the day you are born. The world can only assume that it’s for this reason that celebrities name their children weird names like “Dweezil”.’ It must be to teach them that life is not all candy and rainbows.
Here are some of the most ridiculous names that our famous celebrities have named their kids.
Apple & Moses. As if Apple wasn’t strange enough for Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband Chris Martin first child, they really rocked with Moses. With absolutely no good reason for picking this biblical figure to name their kid after, Moses is going to get a lot of confusion coming at him from the Jewish community.
Kal-el Coppola. For those of you who are not obsessed with Superman, you might not recognize Nicholas Cage’s choice for his son’s name. Kal-el was Clark Kent’s real name when he lived with his family on Krypton. This is all great for the kid who can shorted his name to “Kal” if he wants to, but that’s not going to rid him of his ridiculous father who has named him after the man of steel, and probably even expects him to live up to it.
Daisy Boo and Poppy Honey. You could almost imagine why Poppy Honey was Jamie Oliver’s choice for his child. Both of them are food items, and he’s a famous chef. You can even ignore the oversight that poppy is the flower used to make most addictive narcotics. But Daisy Boo? It’s even worse when you try and call both the children together. Think of the attendance list at their first school. Will Daisy Boo Oliver and Poppy Honey Oliver please raise their hands? Bet!
Behind the names above there are other ones like Audio Science – the daughter of Shannyn Sossoman; Woody Allen named one of his children Satchel; Pilot Inspector is Jason Lee’s son name; Frank Zappa, a composer and guitarist hit the record after naming his kids like Moon Unit, Dweezil, Ahmet Emuukha and Diva Thin Muffin Pigeen.
Whenever we see or hear the name of Kim Kardashian the first thing that pops up in our heads is that she divorced in just 72 days after her marriage with NBA player Kris Humphries. But Kim is not the only one who is famous for the short marriage relationship. There is a list of celebrities who were happy to get married but quickly changed their mind.
Kid Rock and Pam Anderson: 4 months.
Britney Spears and Jason Alexander: 2 days. In 2004, the singer wed Jason Alexander in Las Vegas, but then quickly got the marriage annulled, claiming that she “lacked understanding of her actions to the extent that she was incapable of agreeing to marriage.
Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray: 5 months. “I have too much going on in my life to focus on”, Sophia said. The former One Tree Hill co-stars ended their union after just five months amidst reports of Murray’s infidelity.
Carmen Electra and Dennis Rodman: 6 Days. Claiming he was inebriated during the nuptials, Dennis Rodman then rescinded his annulment claim. Six months later, Electra filed for divorce.
Colin Farrell and Amelia Warner: 4 months. The pair split up just a short four months later, with Farrell, later saying the marriage happened “too fast,” and they were “too young”.
Also among these ridiculously short marriages can be named Jennifer Lopez and Cris Judd: 4 months, Drew Barrymore and Tom Green: 5 months, Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds: 2 weeks, Helen Hunt and Hank Azaria: 11 Months, Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Esposito: 4 months, Lisa Marie Presley and Nicolas Cage: 3 months, Renée Zellweger and Kenny Chesney: 4 months, Ethel Merman and Ernest Borgnine: 4 weeks, Shannen Doherty and Ashley Hamilton: 5 months, Chris Kattan and Sunshine Tutt: 8 weeks… This list seem to be endless, that only proves that everyone should think twice before tying the knot.
