Recently popular movie star Alec Baldwin was kicked off an American Airlines flight after refusing to stop playing Words with Friends game on his iPad. Depending on who you believe, either Baldwin was extremely rude to American Airlines staff, American Airlines staff were extremely rude to Baldwin, or a combination of both, which results on Baldwin being booted from the plane.
Baldwin issued an apology to his fellow passengers for delaying them, but no apology was made to the airline! Now Baldwin has taken the mickey out of the situation on TV comedy show “Saturday Night Live”, pretending to be Captain Steve Rogers – the ‘pilot’ of his plane journey.
Appearing on the Weekend Update segment of SNL with Seth Meyers, Baldwin told that the incident was “awful” and that he was on SNL to “issue an apology to Mr. Baldwin”.
Pushing the apology envelope even further, Rogers also noted that Baldwin is “an American treasure, and I am ashamed at the way he was treated!” After the American Airlines incident in which Alec Baldwin kept all his Twitter followers updated on the unfolding events, Baldwin had to delete his Twitter account. But don’t be sad, he is about to start another one.
